2017 Artist Load In and Load Out Policy
We are asking for cooperation of all artists this year with the load in and load out policy. Our load in hours from 12:30 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday. There will be staff on-site during all artist check in and load in hours however no staff assistance for load in will be provided between the hours of 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm. From 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm we will have staff on-site to help those in need of load in assistance.
You will need a hand truck or a cart to load in your booth equipment as that has been a bottleneck to unloading in the past. Remember, you must pay the parking meters to park on Charlotte Street.
Please comply with the following unloading policy:
Those with trailers and oversized vehicles (vehicles that take more than one parking space) may check in and load in between the hours of 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm, or after 6:00 pm on Thursdays, May 25 and June 1. We ask that you completely unload your trailer or vehicle and move it to another location off Charlotte Street before setting up your booth. If you do not have a trailer or oversized vehicle we will check you in but will ask you to return for your load in after 2:00 pm. This gives those with trailers and oversized vehicles time to vacate Charlotte Street.
At 2:00 pm we will begin artist check in for those without trailers or oversized vehicles. Again, we ask that you completely unload your trailer or vehicle and move it to another location off Charlotte Street before setting up your booth. If you prefer, you may check in at any time during the check in hours and load in your booth on Thursday evenings. We will have security on site that will allow you access to the site if you have your name badge which will be in the artist packet you will receive at check in. If you have not checked in and received your packet during check in hours on Thursdays, you will not be able to load in after 7:00 pm.
On Fridays mornings, we are asking again that you completely remove the items you will need from your vehicles between the hours of 7:00 am and 9:00 am. Please remove your vehicle from Charlotte Street and park in a designated parking lot or garage before setting up your booth. The city is not allowing our artists to park on Charlotte Street during show hours, so it is imperative that you find other parking, orrisk your vehicle being ticketed or booted.
On Sundays, May 29, and June 4, the show closes at 5:00 pm. You may not begin your booth breakdown until then. We ask that you totally break down your booth before bringing your vehicle onto Charlotte Street. This way the flow of vehicles will go much easier and everyone will be off the park in a more expedient time frame. We are asking that those with trailers and oversized vehicles wait until Charlotte Street clears before bringing their vehicles onsite, as they will need 2 parking spaces. The street should begin clearing at 6:30 pm.
We appreciate your cooperation with this policy.
